Most people own their own homes in Chadstone, however renting is popular due the growing student population attending Holmesglen Tafe. The area is popular with families, however the main feature of this suburb – attracting a lot of visitors throughout the year – is the Chadstone Shopping Mall.
Streets are wide and tree lined – the suburb tends to attract a wide demographic of residents with a growing Asian population. Down-sizers, investors, first home buyers and families are all attracted to Chadstone, as the housing is more affordable than neighbouring suburbs such as Malvern East.
