Location 3 km north east of Melbourne’s CBD with a population of 5494 (2006 census). 671 people below 15 years, 4398 people between 15 and 65 years, and 423 people over 65 years. Most people in Collingwood rent their homes with a large proportion of flats and apartments and Government rented accommodation.  The landscape is made up of narrow streets, and is largely industrialised with imposing period architecture and factory warehouses.

Most of the landscape in Collingwood is made up of high rise apartment blocks, town houses, and ever popular converted warehouses. Houses are Edwardian/Victorian single fronted or terrace in style.
