Located 8 km south east of the CBD with a population of 9422 (2006 census). Malvern is an affluent suburb attractive to working families looking for detached dwellings on larger blocks of land (600 sqm +) or family sized homes close to the CBD. People living in the suburb have an average income of $77,316 putting Malvern third on the list of top earning communities in Melbourne.
